Alyssa Berman-Cutler
President/CEO
A life-long Chicagoan, Alyssa comes to Uptown United with a breadth of experience in community development, government and nonprofit work, including in the Office of the Lt. Governor under Pat Quinn and at Business and Professional People for the Public Interest. Most recently, as a zoning and land use attorney at Foley & Lardner LLP, Alyssa worked on large-scale real estate development projects across the City.
Alyssa holds a J.D. from the University of Chicago and a B.A. from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Wally Rozak
Associate Director/Administrator of SSA #34
Born and raised on Chicago's North Side, Wally has had a long association with Uptown from his parents' wedding reception being held at what is now Nick's Uptown, to seeing movies at the Uptown Theatre, and many shows at the Green Mill, Aragon & Riviera. Wally got involved in neighborhood development issues while serving on the board of Roscoe Village Neighbors in the mid-to-late 1990s. Wally worked for four years at the Uptown Chamber of Commerce (now Business Partners) and returned to Uptown several years later to take over administration of the Special Service Area.
Wally holds a B.A. from the University of Illinois at Chicago.

Ryan Cowden
Project Assistant for SSA#34
Originally from Northeast Ohio, Ryan arrived in Chicago in late 2004 after working for United Airlines in London and New York. After leaving the airline industry he worked in advertising before pursuing a Master of City & Regional Planning degree and interned for two Nationally Registered Historic Districts in Cleveland. He has become familiar with Uptown in particular as he has also been working in the neighborhood before and after completing graduate school. In his spare time, he can often be found biking or on a sports field in Uptown or maybe exploring the world, having been to 40 countries so far.
Ryan holds a MCRP (2010) and a B.A. (1999) with majors in International Studies and History, both from The Ohio State University.
